New Vendor: Tritter Feefer
Named for the owners' grandchildren, Tritter Feefer is a small, eco-friendly furniture company out of Georgia. In addition to their fun name, we love the look of their pieces (like the above tables) and that they come in a wide variety of finishes.

A Few "Unexpected" Surprises....
Star Sightings High Point fall 08
While perusing the latest offerings from Hickory Chair we spotted Thomas O'Brien and his entourage and as we went through the Baker showroom we saw Margaret Russell, the Editor and chief of Elle Decor as well as a judge on Bravos Top Design. I wonder if she had anything nice to say about Baker? She certainly has little nice to say on Top Design. B.D.

Guild Master
We found this great showroom at the High Point Fall 2008 Market. Guild Master is the name of the company. They have incredible furniture that could work with any style. The show room displayed a variety of scenarios that was creative and inspiring and made use of all the product, including furniture, mirrors and accessories. Guild Master was my favorite vendor at this market. DM

Market Favorites, Round 1
At the Fall Market in High Point, NC, the DMD team spent two days perusing new furniture and accessories offerings from around the world (not to mention stalking a few celebrities in the process). We saw too many beautiful and unique pieces to include here, but we did think that we would give you an overview of each of our favorites from the trip!
Several vendors showcased metal and otherwise industrial-style casegoods at this season's market, which I found to be particularly interesting and inspiring. The above metal chair, wire dress forms, and medical cabinets are from Vagabond Vintage Furnishings. They (and other vendors like Go Home, Ltd) mixed this look with weathered wood and eclectic accessories to create an atmosphere that is at once both modern and nostalgic. - esb

New Schumacher Modern
Dial Meyers has just received the latest fabrics from the Schumacher Modern Collection. What we love about these three in particular is how a simple pattern, hint of metallic or a pop of bright color freshen up a neutral palette. They would be perfect for simple window treatments or throw pillows to give your living space an updated and modern look.

Another Great Before and After
Another Transformation has taken place in Rosemont. They were such a pleasure to work with. We updated the clients den to a grown-up chic space with the family in mind. A sectional is a great way for your family to have lots of room to enjoy viewing the television or just spend some time with each other. The mirror on the wall gives back some reflective light and mimics the motif from the fabric on the window treatment while also making the space seem larger. What a great before and after. DM

Chasen Galleries in Carytown has new work from Trisha Adams, including this oil, "Mixed Bouquet". We love the broad brushstrokes and fresh colors. (www.chasengalleries.com)
